Top 8 Poker Tips You Shouldn’t Miss

last updated on 5 December, 2008

You’re In between hands;  sat at the casino table, twiddling your thumbs waiting for your chance to get back into the game. Here’s some things that will keep you busy, and improve your poker game.

1.    Count the pot.
No, this isn’t math homework!  The best players always have a running tally of the pot in their head, and it can be really helpful for those big hands.  Get in the habit of counting the pot now – eventually you will do it by reflex.

2.    Study the discard pile.
If you’re playing stud poker then this is a great memory training exercise that will help you analyze your hand,  and will give you some good old transferable memory skills for hold’em poker, and even blackjack games.

3.    Re play the hand in your head.
If you’re still in the hand and just waiting for your turn, re-play the hand up to the current moment, and analyze each play.

4.    Study the other players.
Mentally go round the table and label the players.  Start with something simple – which ones are loose, which are tight.  Modify your assessment as the game goes on, and as your memory improves try adding more detailed assessments of their poker play styles.

5.    Keep a play book.
Write down key hands, the decisions you made, and why.  Also make notes on other players, and how you played with them. Try to identify their play style, and also how they may view yours.

6.    Make friends with the player on your left.
Everyone loves friends, right?  Find something in common with the player on your left, and start chatting.  You may get a friend out of it, and they may be a little softer on you, and more likely to believe your bluffs.

7.    Play Psychiatrist.
Are you off your game at the moment?  Whether it’s poker or blackjack, you could benefit from considering your mood at the table.  Are you annoyed with something and reflecting it in your play style?  Improve your life, and your game will improve too.

8.    Sleep on it.
Sometimes it is a good idea to walk away from the blackjack or poker table, and take a break.  Leave the casino and clear your head.  Or play something more relaxing, like bingo.

8 Bingo Myths You Should Read Before You Start To Play

Bingo is gaining popularity across a very broad demographic, but there are still a lot of myths and misconceptions floating around, which we hope to clear up here.

1.    Bingo is for old people.
With the growing popularity of online bingo and TV bingo, people of all ages can enjoy the game.  Even traditional bingo halls are appealing to a wider audience these days because of their party atmosphere.
2.    Only unemployed people play bingo.
Unemployed people do play bingo, after all, everyone needs to have some fun and free bingo is a great way to do it!  The majority of online bingo players, however are people who play as a way to relax after work.

3.    Players who win a lot have found a way to beat the system.
Players who seem to win a lot are usually ones who also play a lot.  Bingo is a game of chance, and the more you play, the more you will win.

4.    Playing online is not very sociable.
The people playing online are just as real as the people you meet at a traditional bingo hall or casino.  Most sites have a regular community of players and over time you will get to know them and make friends in the chat room.

5.    Bingo doesn’t have the social status of other games.
A lot of celebrities play bingo – including Catherine Zeta Jones, Robbie Williams, and Denise Van Outen.

6.    You need a lot of time to play bingo online.
You can set up most bingo clients to auto buy tickets, and most online bingo rounds only take around 4 or 5 minutes.  It is easy to get caught up with playing round after round, but you could get a few games done in your coffee break.

7.    Online players don’t play at Bingo Halls.
Many people do both.  Online bingo cards are relatively inexpensive, so playing one won’t eat your budget for the other, and online bingo is a great option during bad weather.

8.    Playing Bingo online is a security risk.
If you play online bingo at big name bingo halls, and look for secure payment options such as NETeller, or Moneybookers, then you can play online in confidence!

Online Casino – 5 Tips on How To Lose Your Money

If you are looking for an easy way to get rid of your money without using your fireplace, you can choose your way from the following list: it’s very easy and very fast. Believe me, been there, done that…

1. Sign up only for online casino that uses amateur software.

That’s awesome! There is a good chance you’ll stuck in a middle of a game and say HELLLLLO to your money! Its easy, its fast, and it is for a sacred purpose: donation for the lowly-industry of the gaming world. (for example: Handa-Lopez, Electra Games, Gamescale, Iglobalmedia etc.)

2. Don’t check if the casino is licensed.

There are hundreds of unlicensed gambling sites at any subject: sports betting, poker, bingo, etc. Go ahead and Sign up! This is your first step of giving up your money for “professional” poker gamers (robots), old ladies who likes bingo (scripts), and objective dealers (programs).

3. Don’t sign up to an online casino that provides you an email support.

Give me a break! They call themselves casino? They supposed to know everything about poker face. And if there is any problem, do they really want to give me my money back? To help me? What kind of business they run?

4. Don’t sign up to a casino that provides you a toll free number.

Think about it: they are paying for your call. Furthermore: they want to LISTEN to you. That’s a shame.

5. Play online only in casino with bad and cheep design.

If casino online has a high level of design, that means it got a big budget. If it got a big budget, it means that it’s successful; if it so successful it because people thinks it secure and liable. Do you really want to play in that kind of online casino?
